Suggest a better descriptionHere is one of my favorite quick breads. It is from Favorite Recipes of America. Mix and sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and mix well. Add dry ingredients alternately with liquid to creamed mixture; add cherries and nuts. Put in bread pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
